Sweet, vintage set of salt & pepper shakers. Black and white life like dogs. No marks on the bottom but research showed they matched a set marked Japan on the paw.
The pepper shaker (smaller, female dog) shows the most wear. There are spots in the glaze on one leg, pawand nose. It feels under the glaze. One ear has been repaired. She also has a chip on the bottom that removed some of the tail. See picture 4 and view the bottom pics. I didn\'t notice the tail until I put on magnifiers to take pictures.
Still an attractive set. Priced accordingly.
