Up for sale is an adorable porcelain figurine of a resting Giraffe, withnaturalisticdetails and color. This hand decorated piece was made in Japan sometime in the 1960’s period, andstillbears the original “JAPAN” sticker on the base. He/she stands about 3.5” (8.75 cm) tall and about the same inwidth. It hassuffered a fewminorinjuries over his life, with a few nicks on his ears and mouth where the glaze has come off, but noserious large cracks or chips. Please usthe zoom feature for more details. Please note the hole in the back of the head was put there during production, to prevent the clay from exploding in the kiln.The photos taken outdoors are the best representation of the color. Despite theaforementioned damage, this piece is a rare find and would be a great addition to any collection!
