These have been in our family since purchased new. It is difficult for us to find out exactly their dates. As best we can find out it is circa early 1900\'s. They are by Josef Strnact. You can see the bottom markings and pattern numbers 1473. They are sold as a set of two...and they are quite large: 15.5 inches tall. The base measures: approx. 6 inches wide and 5 inches deep. The top tapers off to: 3.25 inches wide by 2.75 inches deep.They are very stunning. One of the vases does have a chip at the base (please see photos). There are also some wear spots on handles...(see pictures...we included all that were visible). As well you can see some gold painted areas have worn off....given their age however they are remarkable presentations of the time period artwork. They weight in at Approx. 2 lbs each.
