Vintage Klepper Kayak S2 (for Aerius II) Sails:

Vintage (I’m guessing early1960’s) Egyptian cotton main and jib Klepper kayak S2 sails in good condition.The sail material shows some minor water staining, which is commonly found onthese vintage sails – I’ve tried to capture the extent of the staining in theattached photos. This is strictly a cosmetic issue as the sail fabric is solid.There is a small one inch tear in the main sail sleeve where it meets the gaffclamp - see attached photo. All four main sail wooden battens are present; twoare original and I’ve made two when I bought the sail, as they were missing.One of the two original battens is broken about ten inches from the end (totallength of the batten is 48 inches) and should be repaired or replaced. Alsoincluded in the sale are the wooden mast, boom and gaff.The mast is fitted with two original brass pulleys forraising the mainsail and the jib.Please note that the tree stays (ropes) and associatedhardware (rope tensioners, snap hooks) for securing the mast to the boat areNOT included in this sale – I am offering a cable/turnbuckles option in aseparate listing.
