Vintage \"KOSMOS BRENNER\" Hanging Wall Mount Oil Lamp

This vintage miniature oil lamp is definitely \"old\" and was acquired by grandma in the 1960\'s from an \"antique store\" and has been in our family ever since. So its at least 60 years old. She always referred to it as her \"twinkle lamp.\"

Beyond that, we have not been able to identify its maker or exact origin. KOSMOS style oil lamps were made by many companies from the 1850\'s onward. This one is a \"folded wick\" side-draft design. There is an abundance of information available online from various sources.

Some Details to Note

Lamp measures 13.5\" high to tip of hanger when sitting on its base.

Oil bowl is 3\" tall by 4.75\" in diameter.

Chimney is 6.75\" tall, 1.5\" diameter at base, 1.0\" diameter at top.

One hand-blown bubble in the chimney bottom, concealed by brass mount ring.

Reflector white saucer is 6.25\" in diameter.

Pink china/ceramic base is decorated with simplistic gold daisy bouquets all around the perimeter.

One tiny rough spot (burst glaze bubble) on top edge of bowl. (see close-up photo).

Bowl has rust stains around center from contact with hanger bracket.

Hanger is rusty and has been questionably repaired (soldered) along the way.

Reflector saucer \"mirror\" is badly crinkled foil-back glass construction.

Wick mechanism is intact and works perfectly. Wick is fresh with no signs of actual use.

There are no maker\'s marks on the china/porcelain oil bowl.

The lamp will also sit flat on a table or desktop, with hanger still attached.

The brass wick control knob is simply embossed with \"KOSMOS BRENNER\" with a tiny 6-petal flower emblem between the words.

\"BRENNER\" is reportedly German for \"burner\", so perhaps the lamp is from a German maker?
