Offered for sale is this elegant Vintage \'Kramer of New York\' costume necklace. This early example Kramer piece measures 16 inches in overall length and can be adjusted down to 13 inches in length, making it more versatile. As seen in the photos, the Necklace\'s design is of five sections with each having five rows of round stones and each section centered with a large Marquise-cut stone. Each section is separated with a short drop of 2 stones and with the adjustable sections at the rear. Founded by Louis Kramer in 1943, at the height of World War II in New York City, he also designed some of the pieces, including necklaces, in the early years of the Company\'s history. This particular piece is from Circa late 1940s to the early 1950s. Accordingly, it is not happen chance that after all these years later, the stones are consistently bright throughout the piece. The rhinestones in these earlier pieces were clear Austrian crystals imported by the Company. The Company hallmark is on the back side, end of the chain, and can be seen photographed. This piece is being offered in excellent condition with no breaks, repairs or stones missing.
