Here you have a very large (58\" x 76\" including fringe on one end) heavy wool blanket made in Chile.
Although I have listed it as used, I doubt it was ever used. It is black & off-white in color and is a very nice plaid pattern.
We purchased this blanket, along with others, from an estate sale of a man who had traveled the world as an archeologist. He lived in Chile for a while in the 50\'s, where he obtained these neat items.
This blanket is quite heavy. It is in excellent condition. I do not see any holes or tears or stains. It has the expected irregularities you see in hand woven items. There is a very slight scent of moth balls from years of storage.
The blanket is made of one large hand woven piece with a woven edge on one end and fringe on the other.
