Click to View Image Album Welcome to our sale. You are invited to offer on this large and beautiful vintage Japanese Satsuma Pottery Vase Electric Lamp. Probably created in the 1950s? this beautifully decorated lamp depicts on the front, an elaborate handpainted bouquet arrangement of lotus (water lilys) and other florals, secured with a yellow ribbon. And on the reverse, water lilys in a calm pond. Golden clouds and gold accents complete this setting. Colors used are light blue, light green, yellow, rust red, dark green and black. There is a rust red and gold border at the base of approximately 3/8\" wide. The lamp sits on a wood plinth and has a brass cap on top. The vase is marked on the base with the mon of Satsuma and the makers mark. (see photo #9). The vase body is approximately 12\" high, about 4\" diameter across the top and about 5\" diameter across the base. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or stains. Overall height with wood base and fittings is about 18\". This beautiful vintage lamp can be a showpiece of your collection.
