For sale is an impressive, large Moorcroft Orchid Iris vase that is in very good condition. It is an impressive 12.25 inches (31 cm) tall and an elegant shape that is unusual in such a large size.
The vase is well decorated with no runs or paint misses, and has the orchid and iris pattern in pink, purple, yellow and white, over a background of pale green, to aqua, to a deep blue. No chips, cracks or repairs of any kind, although there is a tiny 1 or 2 mm triangular \"flea bite\" on the base that is shown in the last photo. The vase has very light crazing near the top rim and almost no crazing elsewhere- much less than typical for Moorcroft of this period.
Stamped with the Moorcroft facsimile signature and Potter to H.M. the Queen, and painted initials \"W.M.\", this vase likely dates to around 1945.
The vase is heavy, so shipping to the US and Canada will probably be around $35, to the UK $50, but I will charge the actual cost of USPS postage to the winning offer (no packaging fee).
