A vintage, elegant, large-size bangle beautifully carved and translucent.The jade itself is 1/2\" thick--a lot of jadeite.Opens on a 14k yellow gold hinge.Beautiful bright apple green shading to light green with a speck of emerald green.Grade A Jadeite -- the color is natural, NOT dyed.Excellent carving all around. Vine/floral motif.Very translucent under backlighting. 14k yellow gold hinges and chainJeweler who did jade work for Gump\'s for 25 years estimates it is circa 1960s.Interior is 2-3/8\" across (57\'\'); Exterior is 3-1/8\" across(80mm); 7/16\" thick (23mm)All the jadeite/jade pieces in my store are from my personal collection. The jewelry items were purchased from a Hong Kong dealer, mostly in the late 1970s, who traveled regularly to San Francisco. He was an important seller to Gump\'s in San Francisco, a store famous worldwide as one of the leading jade purveyors in the United States. Many of my pieces were appraised in 1979 by an independent wholesale jeweler in San Francisco who did jade work for Gump\'s for 25 years. That jeweler is still in business in the same offices. I\'m selling the collection because my daughter doesn\'t want it (can you imagine???), and I don\'t wear it anymore.
