The Pussycat A-Go-Go was a casino/nightclub located on the Las Vegas Strip from 1964-1971. Focusing mostly on live music and rock-and-roll, The Pussycat could have been considered the Hard Rock Hotel of it\'s time.Despite the fact that many notable musicians and entertainers frequented and performed at The Pussycat, the club is perhaps best remembered as being the place where Jim Morrison of the doors was arrested for, in essence, smoking a cigarette.
According to Robert Gover, a noted author and journalist who wrote The Maniac Responsible among other things and who was on hand to witness the event, Mr. Mojo Risin\' it was hanging around the Pussycat Club\'s parking lot during his first ever visit to Las Vegas. Morrison was smoking a cigarette which he was holding like a joint.
The club security did not like the idea of long-hairs loitering in the parking lot smoking weed, so of course in the fashion of the truly enlightened individuals of the time one of them went out to Morrison and whacked him in the head with a billy club. When Morrison persisted with his antics (which, really, kind of tame for the Lizard King) the security called the cops and hauled all of Morrison\'s party off to jail.
This Pussycat A-Go-Go shirt is redesigned from the logo on an old poker chip. The logo from the chip was digitally redrawn, then We replaced the value of the chip with the words Las Vegas and added and cleaned up some other details to make this, in essence, an all new piece of art!
The shirt itself is Direct-To-Garment (DTG) printed shirt. Not a transfer, screen print or other sublimation, a DTG printed shirt is basically a four color process print done directly onto a 100% cotton garment. Capable of producing millions of colors without the need for screens or other preparations you can think of a DTG printed design as sort of a Giclee Print on a t-shirt.We print our garments on 100% Ringspun cotton shirts from Hanes (men) or Bella/Canvas (ladies). This design looks best on a white shirt, but can be done in other colors for additonal cost.
