This is my lovely doll, \"Chiara,\" a very specialLenci, made in 1984 from a Lenci mold first created in 1930! A tag verifying this and her numbered COA are sewn to her skirt. Lenci dolls and toys became very popular and are highly collectible. Beautiful \"Chiara\" stands 20\" tall, is made of stuffed pressed felt, and has a pretty hand-painted face. Her big blue eyes show that cute Lenci feature: the sideways glance! Lenci spared no expensive with her outfit.Her blonde curls are protected under her wide-brimmed, pink-lined gold felt bonnet, trimmed with a lavender felt ribbon tied in the back. She is wearing a deep pink, long-sleeved jacket with scalloped edges over her off-white felt dress. Her lovely dress has floral arrays sewn on within each diamond shape,outlined with felt piping. The bodice is lavender in color with a round white collar. Her slip is a pale pink, frilly organdy that matches her bloomers. She has little stretchy socks and pink ankle-strapped felt shoes, each fastened with a pink button. Displayed briefly in my non-smoking home.
