Beautiful hand woven Linsey Woolsey Blanket/Coverlet. This is an amazing example of the American version of the Old English style. Most American examples were woven from the civil war era to early 1900\'s and some have dates woven into the corner, but this one does not. They are woven so one side in more white than color and the reverse side has of more color than white. This is a beautiful blueish green and white. Most were woven at home on the family loom by both the Female and Male members of the family because of the heaviness of the fabric. My husband and I found this one at an estate sale of a 93 year old woman who had many family heirlooms like this one in her collection. We love to go to estate sales in our area (Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana). We are not experts or that well versed in the area is household linens, but hope you will look closely at all the photos. We try to show any flaws, tears, rips etc if they exist as well as the beauty of this piece. Please look around at our other pieces we have listed.
