This is the real deal!
This lucite table lamp was a wedding present in 1969.It was purchased at the Scandia House shop at Bay & Bloor Streets in Toronto.
We chose it and have used it INfrequently over the last 46 years.
...And now we are downsizing.
This lamp is in remarkable condition for its age.The original cord (approx. 7 ft.) with in-line switch works well.The original bulb still works too!
The lamp comes in 3 pieces - the base with cord attached, the shade, and the bulb.Specifications follow: Base: black lucite, measures 5 1/2\" X 5 3/4\" (almost square) Height is 4\"
Shade: smoked lucite, measures 5 1/8\" X 5 1/4\" Height is 8\"
Bulb: white glass, measures 7\" high
The assembled lamp measures 11 3/4\" high.There are some very minor, tiny marks on the shade, consistent with its age.These are not noticeable when the lamp is on, or off.The glue has dried along one seam of the shade, and we have not repaired this (see picture)
This is a super piece of Mid Century Modern designer lighting.It will be packaged extra carefully, but we cannot guarantee that the bulb will still work when the package is received.
