These mallets have a history associated with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. I\'m the original owner, and purchased them in September of 1975. They are in very good gently used condition. The heads are well wrapped with blue yarn and are not fraying. Single step shaft. The diameter of each head is 1 1/8\", the shaft is 5/16\" thick, and approximately 15\" long. They will last for many more years!
