This sale is for a set of antique Madame LeNormand\'s Mystic Cards of Fortune by McLoughlin Bros. NewYork, 1887. This set is missing the no. 2 card and the 28 card. The cards are in very good condition considering they are nearly 130 years old. The illustrations are black on card stock. There is one small tear on card no. 36. There are some cards with creases, and minor discolorations. The cards measure 3 1/2 \" by 2 1/4\". The box, features a lithograph illustration of a gypsy witch and black cat. The box is in poor condition, although all the pieces are present so it could be repaired. The original measurements for the box are 5\" x 4\" x 1\". The instructions are in poor condition but all pieces are present. This game was approved by the heirs of Mlle Lenormand as stated on instruction sheet. Mademoiselle Marie Anne Lenormand (1772-1843) is one of the most famous tarot fortune card readers. She is said to have predicted the future for France\'s Empress Josephine and Napoleon.
