Vintage shipping box being returned to a Houston address from a Division of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D. C. The label is not in perfect condition and the Division from which this cameis not clearly identifiable by me. It is secured by a strap which is included, but I do not know if it is as vintage as this containter. See picture.

There is a luggage tag attached to the leather handle with the address:

\"M. McCormick, 9023 Autauga, Houston, Tex, 77080\"

The return address is to \"Mack McCormick\"

The box is in good condition showing lots of wear but is sound and solid. There is a three inch piece of the mailing label bracket missing from the bottom right corner. There is a piece of paper tape covering a some type of label from a previous mailing. It would damage the label under itif removed, so I left it as found. I can see a small corner and identify only \"Los Angeles\" and the word \"Railway\". There is a small address sticker inside the top protion of the container and a small piece of tape on one end.
