Greetings ~Here we offer for your consideration~ A RARE to find ~ One Of A Kind ~Vintage ~ Maori Tribe ~ Hand Carved ~ Ceremonial War Club. The Maori are a indigenous Polynesian people of New Zealand/Papahou. This Amazing artifact has a Boldly carved motif with Haehae design. It is carved from \"acacia wood\" and has recessed/inlaid paua eyes. The photos do NO justice to the eyes as they sparkle with a opalescent, warm GLOW when light hits them. These personal, ceremonial objects are important to the Maori Culture and are passed down thru generations, having great significance spiritually. The carving depicts a human effigy figural head/TIKI. The carvings are on both SIDES of the club as well as the figural head and paua eyes. Has a ALL natural patina from age. A rare and intriguing Oceanic tribal piece to add to your collection of artifacts. Measures approx. 23 inches long and 2 1/4 inches wide. Please do look at picture number #10, as you can see the thickness of the club. There are 3 small holes, very tiny and are the size of a dress pin head. I have NO idea if they have meaning or not.
