So,I think I am safe to say extremely super rare, next to impossible to find in amodel. Well here is one! The McDonnell Douglas DC-10 Twin was first proposed asa twin engine medium range wide body aircraft. Main purpose was to compete withnew Airbus A300. They had a 3-engine version, but tried for a 2-engine version.The Twin was also shorter in length, still the wide body that was popular atthe time. After millions of dollars they opted for the MD-11 version. They alsohad financial trouble as well. Boeing was nipping at their heels. There is verylittle information on the DC-10 Twin aircraft out there. This vintage PacificMiniatures (Pacmin) with name plate on original stand. Tail numbers N100C. 1piece model airplane made of resin 1:100 Scale model in great condition. Itappears that someone added wording / logo to body and on tail, or some wordingthat was on the original model that was removed? There is a crack in the PaintJob around the Fuselage, that looks like when it was joined together back whenthe model was made. There also is some paint cracking at base of tail. One ofthe main engines has been re-attached to wing (see pics). 18.5 L x 18.5 W x 7 Hinches (10-inch-high on stand). Very nice model, as this model is an absoluterarity, any condition would be acceptable for a collector in a collection,again extremely rare. The more I look at this model, it’s funny how they carefullyremoved the decal, looks like it was done at the mfg. As to only remove the\"DC-10 Twin\" off the front of fuselage and tail only. Also, the\"McDonnell Douglas\" logo on tail. (I have enclosed a picture I foundin the internet). My guess again, (only a guess) it is a 1 of 1 andor a prototype? Once McDonnell Douglas scraped the idea decals was removed andmaybe someone that worked there took home or was shelved and found again lattertime? Things that make you go hum... Zoom in to take a good look. standincluded as it is original as well, no original box…as Inever have it. (Revised Description 30May17)
