This is a Cartier \"Gondole\" circa 1963, 18k yellow gold, mechanical movement is Cartier 97B, a superb Cartier in house movement that is in great running condition keeping accurate time. Signed dial, case, movement. Hadley-Roma genuine lizard strap with Cartier buckle. This is a rare model, 30mm x 36 mm, much larger on the wrist than the classic Cartier Tank watch, and seldom seen on . I only know of one other similar watch that sold in Dallas in 2011 for $3800. The model name applied to different variations on more square watch designs, this example being one of the cleaner more classic variations. This watch is over 50 years old and has been worn. Watch has a small edge chip underside (dial side) on the mineral crystal between VII & VIII. Case shows some fine scratches, normal wear on back. No personalized engraving.
