Fabulous texture! Offered is a vintage Mid Century Lamp. Made in Italy by Bitossi and designed by head designer Aldo Londi. A simple modernist cylinder form with heavy grogged reddish/brown clay with a lovely wheel turned top and bottom... decorated with straight and zig-zag line patterns. There are two panels of high relief incised straight lines glazed in a rich brown with golden highlights. The alternating color, a creamy white glaze, beautifully applied so the heavy textured clay shows through. The three bands of white are decorated with the wonderful free form zig-zag pattern. A lovely turned hardwood base and neck had in a beautiful rich stain complete the design. This is tall and slender! Dimensions: 37 3/4\" tall including the harp x 7\" wide...the neck is 11 1/4\" tall...the base is 6 1/4\" round x 1 3/4\" tall...hefty at 10 lbs. Marked on the verso (photo #11) In excellent vintage condition...in working order with a three way switch. A perfect addition to any vintage modern interior! Love the texture! Not to be MISSED!
