This is a U.S. M5A1 bayonet in a U.S. M8A1 scabbard, as issued during the Korean War. The scabbard has some scuffing and scratches, a stain on the back, and the snap no longer closes - it looks like the two pieces of the snap no longer meet. The bayonet itself is in very good condition, with some linear marks in the blade\'s matte finish from being sheathed. The blade is approximately 6 3/4\" long; the overall length is 11 3/8\". I do not see any rust on the bayonet.
