Up for offer is a Murano glass ashtray. This is a heavy glass ashtray with shades of red, yellow, and clear glass. The style and weight indicate that it is Murano glass, made in Italy, vintage pieces of which are often unmarked. The ashtray measures 5\" across on each side, and 2 1/4\" deep. The swirling glass in warm shades is a beautiful example of Italian Murano glass from the mid 20th century. The piece has no chips or cracks. It does have surface scratches to the bottom, consistent with its age and everyday use. The piece could also be used as a nut or candy dish, or displayed as a beautiful objet.
