VINTAGE NEEDLEPOINT HAND EMBROIDERED TAPESTRY CUSHION
I was fortunate enough to purchase a number of beautiful and varied (in style) hand worked tapestry cushions and cushion covers this week and as I already have many of my own, have decided to sell them. Because it would take forever to write about each one in detail, I decided to write this intoduction about them all with information pertaining to all of them and then fill in any specific details on each one separately. There are 14 in all, of different sizes and patterns and colours. They were created over a long period between the 70\'s and 80\'s and are all stitched in wool on canvas. Some have the cushion inside, although if you wanted one of those they would cost a bit more to ship, and the rest are covers, with a plain back, ready to be filled with a small cushion obtainable quite easily. This one is square shaped and depicts a wonderful tropical bird with incredible plumage and long flowing tail, sitting on a tree branch surrounded by foliage and flowers. The colours are soft blue, green, pinkish red, pink and brown on an ivory background. It has a really fantastic border of scrolling tulips around the border. Condition is excellent and it measures 14.5ins square (37 x 37 cm).
