The totem pole is carved, painted,and signed by the famous late Tsimshianartist Ray Wesley.
Mr. Wesley was born in 1935 anddid much ofhis work in the Burnaby, British Columbia area in the 1960s and 1970s.
Severaltotem poles he carved stood in a park there for many years.
Somewere restored and moved to the Simon Fraser University’s Museum of Ethnologyand Archaeology.
This is a very nice totem of his in excellent condition
It hasan unusual whale and bear motif on it.
It measures 12 3/4\" in height.
