This is an authentic nuchu or medicine doll from the Kuna tribe of the San Blas Islands of Panama. It came from a significant collection of these dolls that had been collected from that area over the years. I am guessing that this one is from the late 20th century, but I cannot say for sure.

The carving is in good condition. This figure is a bit unsteady when standing, and could use a display stand. I am selling it as used and \"as is\" with no returns.

The carving measures: 12\" tall, by about 3 1/2\" wide and 3 1/2\" deep.
