Vintage Oil On Board Landscape Homer White 1904-1995 In Magnificent Gilt Frame. It appears this is a vintage oil painting but the frame is a much older genuine antique - check my last photo of back of frame showing its age. Exceptional gilt gold gesso on wood frame measures 21 3/4\" x 25 3/4\"; the art is 16\" x 20\". Depicts beautiful New England landscape by lake with boats and mountains in background. It looks to me to be Lake Winnipesaukee NH. Both art and frame are in excellent condition - museum quality. Guaranteed a genuine hand painted oil by the artist described.

Homer White

Homer White (1904-1995) grew up in South Foxborough, Mass. Save a couple of absences for attending art school and serving in the United States Marines, Homer lived out virtually his entire life within walking distance of his birthplace. A greeting card illustrator for many years, he eventually turned away from commercial art and settled into the role of artist in residence first in a small studio on Mill Street, later in his own Studio on Quaker Hill, and finally in the South Foxborough Community Club. Primarily a painter, Homer captured not only the post World War II growth of the town but also produced commission pieces for area residents.
