Vintage Old NauvooSouvenir Brick

Here is a souvenir brick fromNauvoo, Illinois,the site where Joseph Smith was slaughtered by a mob.

The 4\" x 2 1/4\"brick is made of dark orange clay.

It is stamped Old Nauvoo Bookof Mormon Egyptian with some hieroglyphics. The lack of a date stamp indicatesthat this is an older brick.

It is in good condition, withsome discoloration, white spots, and chips.

What an interesting gift foran LDS or Illinoishistorian friend!
