Solid gold case in excellent condition with beautiful lugs. I am not a jeweler, nor an estate seller, but rather just a watch guy and love vintage Omegas. This is the one of the best gold Omegas I\'ve ever ownedor seen in my years. The pictures do not do it justice. I\'ve owned this watch for 10 years, purchased at an estate sale my mother in-law was running, I\'ve worn it regularly, and kept it well serviced.The watch was justserviced by my pro for maintenance. The watch keeps great time. Champaign colored face with gold hands and hour markers. Plastic crystal shows no scratches or chips, just subtle wear. I bought the strap a year ago and have worn the watch a dozen times since, so it\'s not new, but does not need replacement. The watch measures approximately 1 1/2round excluding crown and lugs, approximately 13/4 in lug to lug length.

I received a number of questions about the year and caliber. Here\'s my best guess, based on my knowledge, my watch pro and internet Omega data sources - 1st vintage Omegas are notoriously difficult to determine model number,and year of manufacturer without purchase paperwork, especially if they are of EU origin vs. US bound watches caliber, the is no serial number on the inside back of case, but based on the movement, 15 jewel manual, size of the watch, and face style I believe it to be a mid 1940s. Movement number seen in my pictures, 10692111, and the second hand located in a separate movement at the 6 position is a very common design during this era. Again, my master watch guy, believes the watch to be completely original, and he has spent 40 years staring through loops at mechanical watches and he\'s originally from Switzerland, so knows his stuff.
