Thiswonderful Royal Doulton figurine entitled \"Jean\" was produced from 1949-1959.

Designed by Leslie Harradine, it portrays a lovely lady attired in a long blue/green dress with laced bodice, red, hooded-cape lined with white and tied with a black bow.

She is holding a basket on her left arm which contains an arrangement of yellow rose blossoms, blue flowers and green foliage.

The figurine was made in memory of Jean Harlow (born Harlean Harlow Carpenter; March 3, 1911 – June 7, 1937) who was an American film actress and sex symbol of the 1930s.[

Arthur L. Harradine (known to Doulton collectors as Leslie) joined Doulton\'s Lambeth Studios in 1902 as an apprentice modeler.

Working as a freelance artist, Harradine developed a wonderful gift for sculpting wind-blown ladies and flouncing damsels. Harradine’s figures are among the most collected Doulton masterpieces.

The figurine stands 7 3/4\"high x 3 1/2\" wide x 3\" deep.

Stamped with the Royal Doulton logo, \"Bone China\", \"Jean\", \"HN 2032\" and decorators insignia \"FA\".

There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint.

This is a wonderful Royal Doulton figurine.
