Old-vintage-retro watches are more fragile than new watches. They can be easily over wound and damaged. 8-9 turns of the winding crown (from when they stop) is all that is necessary. Sometimes gentle shake (right to left from 9 to 3 o\'clock face up) is helpful to get them going. Every few years it is a good practice to service them
