This is a classic Panasonic Boombox, made in Japan, from 1992. The CD and radio sections work VERY well. The cassette section engages with a cassette, will fast forward and rewind, but on play quickly shuts down.
Therefore this boombox should be considered a CD/radio only. It is possible, since it shows signs of life, that the cassette section could be repaired, but I cannot promise that it will work for you.
I\'m listening to Sam and Dave\'s \"Soul Man\" from the Stax 50th anniversary CD (pictured but not included; however highly recommended for listening with the X boost maxed). It sounds great.
This would be great for a bedroom, porch, garage or worksite.
A few warts - other than the faulty cassette section, there are some dents in the metal grill and some minor scratches or other signs of use. The antenna was broken at the final extension. I found a screw that fit and filed off any sharp edges.
oops - almost forgot. Include operating instructions (a reprint) and a good AC adapter cord. Can also be powered by TEN D-cells (definitely not included or recommended, unless you\'re going to the beach).
