This is a beautiful & high quality vintage hand-hammered Pewter Compote, by Danish company E Dragsted (1887 - 1967), founded by metalsmith Einar Dragsted. Appears to be made in the 1930\'s.Bowl displays a flaring form, with a stylized pattern ringing the lower section. The base is composed of 3 mother monkeys each with a baby, very detailed. On the bottom of the base appears the following:
- The E Dragsted dragon crest mark
- The compote designer\'s monogram, CHJ
- M.W. DenmarkMeasurements:
- 11 1/2\" bowl diameter
- 6\" base diameter
- 7\" tallIn good condition, with a few moderate scratches in the inner bowl, a few small minor dings on the rim, no other major damages, and nice tarnishing / patina throughout.
