Vintage Platinum Van Cleef & Arpels Diamond Brooch DescriptionPlatinum Lady’s Brooch/Coat Pin, by Van Cleef & Arpels, C. 1940; Signed and Numbered VCA NY 15246 (with Original Box); Swirl Motif with Baguette Cut Diamonds, Round Brilliant Cut Diamonds, Pear Shape Diamond Drop; Pear Shape 1.73 Carat, Clarity VS-1, Color E (GIA Report #6224761224); 29 Round Brilliant Cut Diamonds (one replaced, carefully restored for all details to original manufacturer standards, GIA Report #2221451116); 2 Bullet/Triangular Cut Diamonds; 54 Baguette Cut Diamonds 11.25 Carat Total Weight, Clarity VVS2, Color F-H; 26.4 Grams.Provenance for the brooch is well established, having been purchased in the late 1940s by a Houston gentleman for his wife. The piece was passed down to heirs as part of an inheritance, therefore, it has never been offered for sale. This iconic piece is new to the market. It is signed and numbered with its original Van Cleef and Arpels box. A must for any true collector.
