It has a brass band around the center, with a hinge on one side and a flower shaped catch on the other. It is white porcelain painted red, blue and gold with a nicely detailed leafy vine motif, please see the pictures. It has 3 feet which have a heavy layer of gold paint. This pretty little trinket box measures about 4\" tall and a little over 2 3/8\" across the opening. There are no marks on the egg. There are no chips or cracks. Elegant gift for Easter.
