Collectible Vintage Porcelain Plates - Limoges - Set of 2 - 1973 La Fayette Legacy Collection

This vintage collectible set of two Limoges porcelain plates is new. They have been stored for almost 40 years. The set includes plate I: The Marquis de La Fayette in Dec 1776 signs secretly his enlistment in the army of the insurgents. Plate II: The Marquis de La Fayette accompanied by the Baron de Kale embarks from his ship \"Victoire.\" The plates were first issued in 1973, in anticipation of the 1976 anniversary. The plates were purchased from the Bradford Galleries Exchange in 1975. All of the documentation, including the certificates of origin are included. The plates measure about 8 3/8\" in diameter.
