Hand-painted porcelain figurines on brass or pot metal base; base shows some green patination, indicating the presence of brass
Charming colonial couple holding each other in a forward promenade with the lady on the right of the gentleman
Smaller size makes this lamp a great decorative accent in a variety of styles, rooms, and placements: shabby, cottage, victorian, eclectic, art nouveau; bedroom, bathroom, vanity, livingroom, or library; shelves, tables, or desks
Original cloth cord and bakelite plug is frayed and will need replacement before use, and indicates older vintage
Original black and red light switch on socket also confirms age
Marked MM 486 on bottom of base
Measures 4\" long by 3-1/2\" wide by 11\" tall
This lamp features the lady on right of the gentleman (see other listing for complimentary lamp with lady on left of the gent)
Good vintage condition with wear from age and use. Finish wear, oxidation, and patina on all metal parts. Some paint flaking, mostly on the man\'s red coat, very minimal elsewhere. Cloth electrical cord is is frayed with exposed wiring and will need to be replaced before use. On/Off switch seems to be working, but lamp has not been tested due to bad wiring, and is being sold in AS IS condition. No shade included. Please see pictures for best indication of condition.
