Celluloid and metal windup acrobat. Approximately 13\" tall. Charming celluloid figure of a circus clown swinging on trapeze. Figure is approximately 5 1/2\" tall. Clown is dressed in red and orange costume. Hand-painted facial details - some oxidation and soiling from years of storage. This clown is a design that is not often seen. Clown holds trapeze bar that is attached to two gold weights which act as counter weights and help create more acrobatic action (see photos). Windup motor works great.A great addition to a prewar Japanese toy collection or as an accent to a display of vintage circus memorabilia!If you have questions please review photos (they are made a part of the description) or contact me prior to placing a offer.
