Hard to find Vintage Letterpress Type tray or drawer. Figure Case (as shown on pg 1007 of the American Type Founders Co. 1906 Catalog).Ornate Cast Iron Hamilton Handle. This drawer measures approximately 32 1/8\" x 19 3/8\". The \"legs\" are about 2 3/4\" so the drawer proper is 16 5/8\". The handle adds another 3/4\". Makes a great shadow box. Interior depth of the drawer is about 1 1/16\" while the outside depth is 1 3/8\" on the sides and back while the front is 1 1/2\". Each of the smaller square compartments are 4 7/8\" by 4 7/8\". Where some partitions are missing, the large square measures 9 7/8\" x 9 15/16\" and the rectangle is 9 7/8\" x 4 7/8\".This drawer has a Hamilton Maker\'s mark and a New Departure Patented (see photo) stamped on the top of the center frame board.The bottom is plywood. The interior of the bottom is lined with paper. The handle is cast iron and the label holder to the right of the handle is brass. We cleaned the backside of the label holder but left the face alone (see photos).There are two missing partition sticks but the rest are intact and in great shape. The drawer is very solid structurally.We cleaned the outside of the frame with wood cleaner and cleaned inside two compartments (center right behind the handle) with a cloth moistened with tap water. We will remove the handle for shipping (we will wrap it and place it in one of the compartments).Great drawer for your collection or maybe to use as a photo frame (or some other great combination).Questions?
