For sale is a very rare pair of Quad Eight AM-2B compressors with DeEssers. These things sounds so good and they didn\'t make very many of them.I would compare the sound to be closer to a 2254 than an 1176. There are controls for attack and release as well a switch to go between 1:2 and 1:4 ratios. The Input and Comp controls can both be used to set the gain reduction, which takes a little getting used to.The DeEsser sounds amazing. Way more musical than more modern designs. They were both recently serviced, recapped and racked.
