Offered for sale is this small baby cup made by Queen City Silver Co. of Cincinnati, Ohio. It features an applied shield on which the baby’s name could be engraved. The sides of the cup are hammered giving the cup an interesting look.

On the base is a crown, a castle, and a worn mark which I believe is an eagle’s head after looking at other marks for Queen City Silver Co. Beneath that are four squares containing a “Q,” a “C,” an “S,” and “Co,” These are followed by E.P.N.S. There are some faint numbers beneath E.P.N.S.

Condition/dimensions: The silver plated cup is in good condition with no dents or scratches. The plating is somewhat worn in places on the outside where you can see some hints of the copper base. There is wear to the plating on the handle. The interior is discolored and not polished. It is 2 inches high with a base and top diameter of 2 1/4 inches. The handle protrudes an inch.

Queen City Silver Co. was in business from 1888 to 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio, located at Richmond & Fillmore St. They were well known for silver plated hollow ware.

Packaging: My packages are as green as possible. I try to recycle materials for packing using egg cartons, plastic containers, grocery bags and foam packaging, etc. I welcome any packaging ideas that you have and hope that you can reuse the packaging.

Shipping: I chargenohandling charges. The postage is the published store rate of the United States Postal Service. I try to keep the costs low but I do want to be sure the contents of the package are safe. Packages are shipped USPS first class, priority, parcel select ground, or media mail. Remember that media mail and parcel select ground can take as long as eight days. Let me know if you want some other form of shipping, or pick up.

Combining purchases: I will combine purchases if doing so results in cheaper shipping but only if I can maintain a safe, well-packed item. If you are purchasing multiple items, rather than paying immediately with ’s initial invoices on the individual items, please wait and/or request an invoice from me. I will calculate a combined shipping amount based on the weight of all the items in one box, and send an invoice reflecting the combined shipping. Hopefully, this will result in savings on postage.
