You are looking at an Electro Voice 605 dynamic microphone set at high impedance complete with a vintage 7 foot cable with 1/4 inch end connector. This palm size microphone was developed by Electro Voice in the 1940\'s and 50\'s for use as a general purpose mic. Basically used for dispatch and communications for many businesses, police stations and other government agencies that needed an affordable, reliable mic.
The specs of this mic is seen in pic # 2 from a 50\'s era catalog I have.
It was manufactured right up until the very early 1960\'s before being discontinued. This is the 1950\'s model 605 which came with an E.V label and smaller slotted front grill.
This is a solid dynamic microphone that has been tested and cleaned but as you can see it is cosmetically not perfect. The polished chrome finish shows typical small signs of wear in the form of scratches, nicks and scuffs but no dents, pitting or engravings. The mic still works and has great tone. Certainly strong enough to use. It would make a great harp mic due to it\'s high Z setting and the sound really comes alive when the mic is cupped in the hand. Most of these older 605 mics no longer work or barely work but this one is in good working condition..
The threading for both the cable and stand are perfect...no issues. The badge is still present and shows very lite wear.
I would rate the cosmetic condition of this mic a conservative 6 + on a scale of 1 - 10. Included is the vintage 7 foot mic cable and it comes with a newer switchcraft 1/4 inch male connector. Simply plug in and play! cable is soft, pliable and free of any damage.
