You are looking at a somewhat rare RCA MI-12016 model Aerodynamic microphone first produced in the late 1940\'s or early 50\'s. The MI-12016 has a classic bullet look that was very popular right about the time American and European cars were streamlining their looks in attempts for faster speeds. It was at that time a somewhat affordable RCA dynamic microphone used for general purpose broadcasting and this just happens to make a great harp mic as well.
That being said this mic is in fantastic original working condition with a signal strength of 100% and set at High Impedance. You\'ll just need an extension cord to operate as the original cord has been shortened and comes with a chrome plated Switchcraft 1/4 inch connector. it will look very nice on your favorite stand with the shortened cable however.
You\'ll notice right away that this microphone has the original brown painted finish which has a bit of wear in the form of scratches and scuffs but zero dents or engravings. The original cloth screen is still present and shows no holes or rips...not bad overall. You\'ll notice that there are no fractures in the front ribs which is a small miracle. The chrome stand adapter has no wear and will come in handy as this will allow you to mount this mic to all American desk and floor stands.
The MI-12016 has a short 8 inch cable with a chrome plated 1/4 inch connector. cable is soft, pliable and free of any cracks.
This mic is an easy 7 + on a scale of 1 - 10 in the cosmetic department. It will make for a very interesting display piece anywhere in the home, office or studio. But don\'t be afraid to use her either.
