This vintage rare flight jacket was worn by a USN pilot on numerous missions in the 1950s. The original label describes the jacket as a \"Bureau of Aeronautics USN FL3XT Jacket Intermediate I. W. Foster Sportswear Co., Inc. Size 44 Contract N.C.DA-36-243-QM (CTM) 2/34.\"The jacket has two front pockets with button enclosures and one inside pocket with a button enclosure. Everything about the jacket is original (buttons, collar, fringe). All buttons and the zipper are included and functional.The front length of the jacket from the shoulder hem to the knit hem is 26\". The total front and back hip measurement just above the knit hem is @ 42\". The top of the shoulder at the back measures 19 1/2\". The front chest measurement is @ 17\". The back chest has extending pleats (see photo). The inside leather sleeve length not including knit fringe is @17\". The leather top sleeve length from the shoulder to the knit fringe is @23\". This handsome flight jacket, considering that it was worn on numerous missions, is in very good condition. It would make a wonderful gift or an addition to your wardrobe or collection.
