Ultra Rare Realtone Transistor Radio Set
It\'s almost like somebody wanted this radio to be a secret, we were unable to figure out the model number of this radio. This is probably Realtone\'s first radio, a thick, early plastic sturdy model in firetruck red in practically perfect condition. Made sometime around the mid fifties. A FULL SET.Though the box\'s front flap may have not been built as resilient as this radio, and has torn off cleanly, the set includes original manual, black Japanese leather case with matching strap and earphone case, original earphone with an unusual ear clip, and even the original \"Flying Bomb\" 9 volt battery.
The radio is in near perfect condition, it\'s only imperfections being the common minor surface scratches and a slight manufacturer\'s defect in the plastic. On the inside cover part of the label has been scratched off, keeping this radio a mystery. No chips, cracks, or dents. If you know this model, please tell us. Box has some wear on edges, and front flap has come unattached. All accessories are in perfect shape.Radio is uncleaned and unrestored. However, when tested with a nine volt battery we managed to get a total of four stations, great for our area of bad reception. Yes, this was made well enough that it works some 60 - 50 years later.
