Vintage Red Wing TOWN & COUNTRY Eva Zeisel Pair Small 5\"x6\" Relish Contour Bowls

Description:

FROM A RECENT ESTATE LIQUIDATION:

A nice pair of small, contouredbowls in the Town & Country pattern by Red Wing Pottery. This charming, ultra-modern pattern was designed by noted industrial designer Eva Zeisel. The pattern was introduced in 1947 and produced through 1956 in a variety of several different glazecolors. Red Wing advertising used the phrase \"Whimsical Charm and Freshness\" in describing this pattern, and it truly fits!



These little bowls are glazed in Metallic Brown with a deep, iridescent, highly-reflectivemetallic gloss surface that proves very difficult to photograph!Each bowl measures 5\" wide by 6\" long, 1 1/2\" high at the lowest edgeand 2 1/4\" high at the highest point.

Unmarked with the Red Wing trademark, as are all vintage Town & County pieces. Bottom shows typical factory stilt-marks.



CONDITION:
~very good~ nice and clean, no overt damage, but shows evidence of very, very light use, as we\'ve attempted to show inour photos.
