Vintage Retro Mid Century Continental Kilns Golden Crocus Teapot RARE 1944-1957:

This sale is for a Mid Century Continental Kilns Teapot in the Golden Crocus Pattern.
This is not a common pattern and is very hard to find.
It is made of semi-porcelain (meaning the piece was fired at low temperatures.)
It is hand painted,and no two are exactlyalike.
The teapot features golden crocus buds just starting to bloom.
The teapot holds 4 cups and measures 5\" high at the spout. The body is approx. 5\" x 5\" square x 4 1/2\" high not including the lid. It spreads spout to hand approx. 10 1/4\" across.
A lovely teapot to add to any teapot collection or to use in your vintage Retro Kitchen.

Note:Continental Kilns was located in Cedar, West Virginia and was in business from 1944 - 1957. The business was started by Vincent Bloomhall who intended to make a ware similar to Belleek. Before starting Continental Kilns he worked at the Edwin Knowles China in Newell.
