Vintage Ring 18k Gold Enamel Diamonds Flowers Romance French 1940 - 1980 (#6207):

Vintage ring. 18k yellow gold, polychrome enamel and diamonds. Made in France - circa 1940- 1980\'s.

Measurements: US size 8.5 (a tiny bit smaller); Weighs 5.9 grams. Length of bezel is approx 3/4 inch (20mm).

Description: Beautifully made ring signifying love, romance and friendship. The textured, tapering band with raised, rope-twist borders has a matte textured surface very finely decorated with forget-me-nots - little blue flowers in blue enamel with raised stems and detail. The enamel is within gold cells (cloisonne). The bezel is raised on a geometrically openwork bridge and is oval in shape. A raised rope-twist border echoes that of the band. Within are cut out leaves and flowers at different levels and heights, each enamelled in pale salmon pink and centered with a diamond. Lovely!! Large size (can be altered) makes it suitable for a woman of any proportion.

Marks: outside of hoop (where the French typically place hallmarks), is 750 A1 in a lozenge and CL, which might be the maker\'s initials.

Condition: good with negligible wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don\'t hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer.
