This is a vintage Ronson \"Crown\" table cigarette Lighter. This lighter has a U.S. patent number 19023 with an expiration date of June 12, 1952.

This 2.25\" tall and 3\" long cigarette lighter does not currently work, it needs fuel and flint. The lighter finish has aged to appear gold tone instead of the silver plate over zinc that Ronson is known for.

In the case of these Crown lighters, it\'s generally because the original clear coating has turned and given it that golden tone. They are heavy silver plating on a zinc body. This one was made from 1936 to 1948, when they made a change to straight across rather than having the radius around the striker wheel.

It is a great collectible for display.
