Large Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Figural Group of Prometheus upon the Rocks,hands bound behind his back, leaning forward to kiss a nude sea nymph, indistinct mold incised monogram and date 1897 to back of base.

This lovely large porcelain statue is in the form of a nude male seated on a rock kissing his lover as she rises out of the ocean waves. It has rich color and nice detail with an artist signature and number 1132 on the reverse. It has the Royal Copenhagen factory mark on the inside of the bottom and measures approximately 18 + ¼ inches tall by 11 + ½ inches by 8 + ¾ inches. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
